Chris Paling is a researcher within CATE with over 16 years experience in aviation and the environment. He holds a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Birmingham and a Masters in Pollution and Environmental Control from the University of Manchester. For the last 11 years he has worked at Manchester Airport, responsible for climate change, local air quality and environmental management. His research interests include the sustainability assessment of biojet and airport climate change adaptation. He is currently working on a project with Airbus, and a number of other international industry partners, to investigate the sustainability of second generation aircraft biofuels being grown in Romania and India.
