Omega’s main objective was to develop and transfer innovative knowledge in the field of aviation sustainability. Omega developed a professional, credible and objective evidence base that offered new solutions for a cleaner and quieter aviation future.
Collaboration with our partners in the aviation industry, in government, in NGOs and in leading aviation research centres explored realistic and practical solutions to the challenges we are still facing in the global aviation industry.
The aim of Omega project was to build up a picture of the current knowledge on aviation sustainability, determine what research and study work was needed, and to carry out studies in order to help the industry and regulators to reach more effective – and sustainable – decisions and strategies.
