Current PhD Theses

Name:

Holly Preston

PhD Outline:

My PhD research is investigating the implications of including the aviation sector into the European Union’s Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS). The aim of the research is to investigate the impact of the sector’s inclusion upon the climate stabilization policies of the EU, the impact the inclusion will have upon reducing aviation’s emissions and therefore its climate forcing impact. The research will also attempt to investigate the implications of a linking emission trading schemes, and the potential for a global ETS.
